technology focus areas for 2020 - ?

This year I'll make an active effort to minimize the amount of 'stuff' I deal with.
In particular I'll be making an active effort to reduce the amount of technology I expose myself to, therefore I'll try to:

• Linux distros:
  • any new linux installations will be either openSUSE Leap / Tumbleweed
  • use a simple DE that gets the job done well enough - XFCE seems to be it.

This distro should cover all my needs, if one is not very opinionated on the matters of systemD/PulseAudio/dbus. I've been a severe distro-hopper for years, and that has got to stop.

• Programming languages / tools:
  • higher priority
    • (Re?-)learn C++
    • Learn ~~CMake~~ scons
    • git
    • Learn Godot
    • Explore QT
  • lower priority
    • Learn Lua
    • dabble in ocaml
    • Read less articles about why we moved from X to Y to curb the desire to tryout new things, just for the sake of trying them.

The point of this exercise is to start moving away from the mile-wide inch-deep model.
